 Matthew Stafford Detroit Lions

Wow…we are already to Week 13 in the NFL and it’s getting nitty gritty time in your leagues to gain a spot in your league playoffs and for making some good decisions in your daily fantasy leagues.  We have the Week 13 Rankings for Fantasy Football. Happy Thanksgiving!

1. Cam Newton vs Buccaneers

Cam Newton has faced this Buccaneers team once already this year, putting up a crazy good amount of fantasy numbers. The Bucs may be without their top play maker in Revis, and they are already allowing the 7th most fantasy points to quarterbacks. Cam Newton takes the top spot going into Week 13.

2. Matthew Stafford vs Packers

Stafford threw for almost 300 yards and 3 touchdowns last week against the Buccaneers, but he also threw 4 critical interceptions. Despite the 4 turnovers, he still managed to have a decent fantasy game. The Packers are allowing the 12th most fantasy points to his position.

3. Peyton Manning vs Chiefs

In this must anticipated rematch, Peyton is looking to put down the Kansas City Chiefs yet again. He didn’t have the best fantasy game last time he played this Chiefs team, but in Week 12 the Chiefs allowed almost 400 yards and 3 touchdowns to Phillip Rivers. Start Peyton Manning.

4. Tony Romo vs Raiders

The Raiders are allowing the 10th most fantasy points to quarterbacks so far this year, and Tony Romo usually plays very well on Thanksgiving Day. Coming off a win in New York, Romo will try to lead his team to a 7-5 record.

5. Tom Brady vs Texans

The matchup doesn’t look great with Houston allowing the 8th fewest points to his position, but over the last few games Brady is averaging over 350 yards. It looks like Brady is back as a top tier fantasy quarterback.

Running Backs

1. Adrian Peterson vs Bears

The Bears are absolutely awful against this run this year, allowing the 5th most points to fantasy running backs. The rams alone had nearly 300 yards rushing against them in Week 12. Expect big numbers from AP in this upcoming matchup.

2. Matt Forte vs Vikings

This is the perfect matchup for Matt Forte, facing a defense who allows the 3rd most fantasy points at his position. Jay Cutler isn’t expected back until next week, so the Bears will rely heavily on Forte in Week 13.

3. Jamaal Charles vs Broncos

Jamaal Charles is coming off of a big 2 touchdown game against the San Diego Chargers. The Broncos are allowing the 11th most fantasy points to running backs so far this year, but Charles did struggle against this same defense a couple weeks ago. Expect a bigger role for Jamaal this time around, especially if the Chiefs want to win the game.

4. Marshawn Lynch vs Saints

Marshawn has not disappointed his fantasy owners this year, he has been as advertised in this Seahawks offense. He is facing a pretty tough Saints defense who allows the 17th most fantasy points to running backs, but Lynch is at home and should definitely be a top 5 play this week.

5. Andre Brown vs Redskins

I’m going stick with Andre Brown in this 5 spot, he is facing yet again another bad run defense. The Redskins allow the 7th most fantasy points to running backs. Fantasy owners wished he would’ve given them a touchdown last week, but he still had a good game and added a 2 point conversion.

Wide Receivers

1. Calvin Johnson vs Packers

Calvin has only had 3 games that he has played this year without getting into the endzone, one of them being this past week against the Bucs. He did however still have over 100 yards receiving. He missed the last game Detroit faced this Packers team, look for Johnson to reach the endzone on this Thanksgiving Day football game.

2. AJ Green vs Chargers

The Chargers are giving up the 4th most fantasy points to wide receivers, this should be a huge day for the talented Cincinnati Bengals receiver. He is coming off of a bye week and should be well rested going into this matchup.

3. Demaryius Thomas vs Chiefs

Demaryius Thomas has already played the Chiefs once this year a couple of weeks ago. He didn’t get into the endzone, but did have 5 catches for 121 yards. The Chiefs defense isn’t playing as well the last few weeks, so expect those type of numbers again in Week 13.

4. Dez Bryant vs Raiders

Dez is going up against a Oakland Raiders defense who is allowing the 5th most fantasy points to wide receivers. He has had some miscues over the past few weeks and his fantasy points haven’t been what they were to start the season, but this is a good matchup for the Cowboys number 1 wide receiver.

5. Brandon Marshall vs Vikings

Even with Josh McCown as the starting quarterback for the Bears, Marshall has been the go to guy. He had a big game against the Vikings last time around and I wouldn’t expect that to change this week.

Tight Ends

1. Rob Gronkowski vs Texans

The Houston Texans are allowing the 15th fewest points to tight ends this year, but that shouldn’t stop Gronk from being the number 1 tight end this week. He has had a touchdown in 3 straight games and finally looks back to 100 percent.

2. Jimmy Graham vs Seahawks

The Seattle Seahawks are only allowing the 9th fewest points at his position and they play amazingly well at home, that being said Jimmy is not your run of the mill tight end. Also, the Seahawks are very short on corner backs with all of their suspensions this year. Start Jimmy with confidence in Week 13.

3. Julius Thomas vs Chiefs

He has already faced this team once this year, and should be back in the lineup this week. He had 43 yards and a touchdown on this defense a couple weeks back and we know he can find the endzone.

4. Vernon Davis vs Rams

The St. Louis Rams are very good against the tight end position allowing the 4th fewest points. He did have a touchdown on them earlier this year and Colin loves getting him the football.

5. Jason Witten vs Raiders

Witten has been the definition of a boom or bust tight end this year. He is already at 6 touchdowns though this year, doubling what he had in 2012. The Raiders are in the middle of the pack against the tight end position. Start Jason Witten as a TE1.

1. New England Patriots vs Texans

The Texans have not been good on offense this year and I don’t expect that to change in Week 13. They are allowing the 4th most fantasy points to team defenses.

2. Carolina Panthers vs Buccaneers

They had 3 sacks and a forced fumble last time out against this Buccaneers team. They also only allowed 13 points and that was on the road, expect bigger numbers at home for the Panthers.

3. Cleveland Browns vs Jaguars

The Jags are allowing the 2nd most fantasy points to defense so far this year. This is a good matchup play defense in Week in 13.

4. San Fransisco 49ers vs Rams

Last time these two teams met the 49ers defense had a healthy 5 sacks, to go along with a interception and fumble recovery.

5. Buffalo Bills vs Falcons

The Bills have been a good matchup based defense this year. They are facing a Falcons team who is allowing the 12th most fantasy points to team defenses.

1. Josh McCown (QB CHI) vs Vikings

It looks like Josh McCown will be suiting up for the Bears again in Week 13 with Jay Cutler out of the lineup. The Viking are giving up the 2nd most points to fantasy quarterbacks and McCown has been playing surprisingly well.

2. Bilal Powell (RB NYJ) vs Dolphins

If Chris Ivory isn’t a go against the dolphins, Powell could be a good flex option if needed. The Dolphins are allowing the 6th most fantasy points to running backs.

3. Nate Burleson (WR DET) vs Packers

Nate Burleson was on this list last week and he went out and caught 7 passes for 77 yards and a touchdown. He is still only 40 percent owned in leagues even with the 10 targets he had. He needs to be owned and used as a flex or WR3 option.

4. Rod Streater (WR OAK) vs Cowboys

Rod Streater was the go to guy last week for the Oakland Raiders. Denaryius Moore may not play again and that should allow Streater to get more balls thrown his way.

5. Delanie Walker (TE TEN) vs Colts

He was targeted by Ryan Fitzpatrick 9 times last week. He didn’t have a huge game, but with that many targets he is a good plug and play tight end option.

1. Ben Roethlisberger (QB PIT) vs Ravens

Ben Roethlisberger has already played the Ravens once this year and only threw for 160 yards. He did have a touchdown, but those numbers don’t warrant a start in Week 13.

2. Bobby Rainey (RB TB) vs Panthers

The Panthers are only allowing the 5th most fantasy points to running backs, this is not a good matchup for Bobby Rainey in Week 13.

3. Marques Colston (WR NO) vs Seahawks

The Seahawks are only allowing the 4th fewest fantasy points to wide receivers so far this year. Richard Sherman should be on him and that’s not a good sign for Colston owners.

4. Tony Gonzalez (TE ATL) vs Bills

He hasn’t been playing well as of late and it’s a bad matchup for Tony Gonzalez. The Bills allow the 6th fewest points to tight end positions.

5. Kansas City Chiefs (DEF KC) vs Broncos

Do not start the Kansas City Chiefs defense in Week 13, the last time they played this Broncos offense they allowed 27 points and had zero sacks.
